CAR CFR Cluj is a financial institution with many years of tradition and trust behind it. But it came to us with serious reputation issues and needed a quick brand build up. The most striking part: it was not showing on Google searches at all, not even for its own brand name.
The logo tells the institution's story in one mark: a reversed letter C forms a train tunnel, symbolizing the journey and progress of a railway workers' mutual aid fund. The colors are the Romanian flag: royal blue, saffron and fire brick, carrying national pride. And the text DIN 1949 anchors the tradition and experience of the institution. Typography: Actay Wide.


We designed and built a new website presenting the institution's loans, savings and member services clearly, with a proper contact flow and the trust signals a financial institution needs.

The rebuild included security and many much needed tech upgrades:
From invisible on Google even for its own name, to a complete brand: logo, website, security and infrastructure, delivered in 3 months for an institution whose story starts in 1949.
